Charran Fisher is the founder and CEO of Fisher Contracting Corporation, a minority woman-owned construction firm she launched in 1998 to expand opportunities for women and people of color in a traditionally male-dominated industry. What began as a bold entrepreneurial step has grown into a respected and recognizable firm known for its integrity, excellence, and commitment to equitable access in the construction field.

Fisher’s leadership and advocacy have earned her significant recognition, including being named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Person of the Year for the New England region and the Massachusetts Minority Business Person of the Year. Under her direction, Fisher Contracting has contributed to major, high-profile projects, with her team repeatedly acknowledged for outstanding performance and meaningful workforce diversity.

A passionate champion for economic mobility and inclusive leadership, Fisher serves on several influential boards. She is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and sits on the boards of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM), the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts (BECMA), the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, and the Worcester State University Foundation. In 2022, she made history as the first person of color appointed to the Worcester License Commission.
